About Me

Picture of Wally I am a software developer in Ontario, Canada.  I work at a small company called GrantStream Inc. in Oakville where I am code in PHP and have recently been doing a lot of work with DHTML and JavaScript.

While I work with PHP during the day, in the off hours I’m working towards my certification with Microsoft’s ASP.Net technology.  My .Net language of choice is of course C#, which I have been dabbling in since it was first released way back when.

For hobbies, I indoor rock climb every week or so with friends at Gravity Climbing Gym in Hamilton or Joe Rockhead’s in Toronto, whichever we happen to feel like at the time.  I also enjoy photography, travelling (who doesn’t?) and a good steak.

2008 promises to be a great year, I’m getting married to my incredible fiance Erin, who I’ve been dating for nearly 10 years now.  We’re also planning on buying a house, so there’s going to be lots of parties to attend!

I put this site together so that I can hopefully offer some of my experience to others like me.  I’m by no means an expert at what I do, but I am quite capable and like to share the things I learn while striving to be better at what I do.

Hopefully you’ll find something useful here, feel free to call me out through the comments if I’ve messed something up, that’s why they’re turned on.
